Goals

The main goal of the Project is to create an information system that will promote the activity of UNESCO Member States and their organizations in the area of application of information technologies in education, in particular to arrange an integrated evaluation of national action plans and policy documents in educational information technologies in the countries and regions, as well as to obtain respective information itemized by particular indicators.

The facilities of the system should allow carrying out the comparative analysis of data in this field, to explore existing needs and to forecast on this basis the main trend of development of ICTs in education. ISITE should provide functions of a basic system for various projects on ICTs in education such as Internet, primary education, teachers training, education for people with special needs and so on.
